Kennedy Leigh

8.28.2012
Kennedy's birth was completely different from her brothers, she came just as planned.
We were able to celebrate Coopers birthday on the 27th, pick my mom up that evening and be able to finish last minute things before she came. Tuesday morning we woke up and headed into the hospital at 5:30 a.m.
Of course my c-section wasn't scheduled until 7:15, but all the computers were down at the hospital so we didn't actually get started until around 8:00. I walked into the OR and was completely awake for the whole surgery. I am sure that's how all c-sections are, but for me this was a first, with both my boys being emergency c-sections I was so out of it I don't remember a thing, and I was so drugged up that I couldn't hold them for at least an hour.
At 8:46 am Miss Kennedy was born
7lbs 10oz
20.5 inches long
They handed her to Nate and she wouldn't stop crying, so as soon as they got me stitched up I was able to hold her and right off she wanted fed. Once we got to our room we were able to hold and adore our sweet little girl, who didn't have a name yet. We had a hard time deciding between Addison and Kennedy, I have always liked both, but the last three months Nate has been calling her Addison. He tells me once he saw her she didn't look like an Addison. Of course we didn't decide her name until the last day we were there, nothing like pressure from the hospital staff.
That afternoon Nate went home and got the boys and my mom to let them meet their new sister.
It was love at first sight, Cooper could not keep his hand off her, he was so excited!
We are so happy everything went so smooth and Kennedy is healthy and happy. She is definitely welcomed and loved in our home!
One last shot 39.2 weeks pregnant!
getting all wired up and ready for the surgery
Before she ate her first meal
Much better
Loving their sister
Moms jello was also pretty exciting
Cooper could have held her all day
Family of Five
the best big brothers you will find
Some Daddy Daughter time
He is already wrapped around her finger
Thanks to some good friends who visited us at the hospital, My good friend Cally, and unfortunantly I didn't get any pictures of my friend Lori.
On Thursday we were able to go home, and Kennedy did not like her car seat from Day 1 so no calm pictures here.
Finally asleep ready to go home.
