the rest of Mexico

The rest of the days in Mexico we spent taking care of the kids in kids care while their parents helped build houses. So me and the kids spent a day doing arts and crafts and playing games.

lots of bubbles!

building a play ground for the kids at the school.

It was super hot that day, so Karlene had a project and let us help her. We brought several meals for families in need, and on the last day we were able to deliver them to them. They were excited and very grateful for the food that was given to them. Not to mention it made an impact on me and my family, to realize how much we have and how lucky we are to live where we live and to have what we have.

We spent most afternoons and evenings down at the pool or beach! we got a few drinks and enjoyed spending time with our family.

some nights you just need to relax and do nothing. The kids and adults worked really hard this past week and really had a great week of service to the people of Mexico.

We were able to help make pinatas one day, which was donated to a group so they could sell them for supplies needed to build their school. The kids enjoyed being creative.

We had a great experience with a preschool we visited. We were able to teach them songs, play with the kids and get to know them even though we couldn't speak their language and they couldn't speak ours.

One night the rotary put on fireworks for the big convention, it was awesome to see from our room!

Lunch with Grandma and papa was a treat!

Another afternoon at the beach was time well spent getting to know our cousins.

The last night was a fiesta lots and food, dancing and fun!

Cooper and Hank earned money this spring to purchase toys for the less fortunate, the kids bought cars with their own money and were able to give them out along with the food that we purchased in the middle of the week. The kids were so excited and it was such a cool experience to watch the boys give them out excitedly.

Grandma got each of the kids little mexico celebration clothes and they looked adorable.
