Huber's Farm

Yesterday Cooper, Sarah and I all went up to the Huber Family Farm to pick pumpkins. This is a rather sure tradition that stems back to when My parents were here going to Dental School. It's about a 25 min drive but it gets us into some of the most beautiful countryside in Indiana. Which We have decided is perhaps one of the most beautiful states. We arrived and had lunch at the farm which of course consisted of fried chicken, Mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken and dumplings and of course Indiana grown corn, a feast for Kings and Queens. Then came pumpkin picking time! we went on a hay ride to the area's where the pumpkins had been growing and to our dismay we noticed a rather fowl aroma rising for the pumpkin patch. Turns out that this year was not a great year on pumpkins. We have had such little rain that the pumpkins were rather small and the ones that did make any type of size had rotted out. So we decided to forgo the traditional Huber pumpkins for the cheaper Kroger pumpkins. Regardless it was great to get out in the fall with good friends
