What a Weekend!

First off, this man is awesome!!! He is currently in the interview process for Oral Surgery resdency programs, and it can be quite stressful at times. Needless to say he has a lot on his plate right now, but he has been more than supportive in my hobbies. With that said on to our weekend:
Thursday afternoon Nate and our friend Drew headed out to Iowa city for their first interview, an 8 hour drive away. They had their interviews all day Friday and a dinner that night with all the residents.
Meanwhile friday the kids and I drove to Indianapolis for my 3rd marathon. The boys and I checked in our hotel and waiting  patiently for Dad to arrive.
Being the most supportive husband ever, him and Drew left Iowa City around 9:30 at night and made it to Indianapolis around 3:00 a.m. (Thank you so much Drew, who drove another hour and a half home)! With little sleep for Nate we all got up and dropped me off at the starting line of the marathon.

 Beginning of the race
Finishing the race, it was a fun race, unfortunately I didn't reach my goal of qualifying for Boston. I needed a 3:40 and I came in a 3:42:22, yes a little disappointed but it was still my best time so I couldn't complain. This run was mostly through a park and with the fall colors it was beautiful! The best of all I had my wonderful family at the finish line cheering me on whether I reached my goal or not.
We made it back home Saturday afternoon and were able to relax the rest of the weekend. Thanks babe for your love and support, I couldn't have done it without you!

The interview went great, he has the month of November filled up with interviews so we will keep our fingers crossed and be able to relax after January 31st (Match Day)

Sarah, way to run ANOTHER marathon! Erik's Uncle Mike was also running the Indianapolis marathon. Did you see him?!
