BOO ZOO

10/21/2011
Every year in Louisville I looked forward to this, it was free to members and the kids loved walking around the zoo in the costumes getting candy. Well here its not free to members, so not only do you have to pay to get in, but you have to pay for parking. Well that turned me off so I wasn't planning on going. A few weeks ago I was running on the treadmill at the gym and having a conversation with the lady running next to me. The conversation went on to where I was new to the area and she was telling me all the fun fall things to do. Boo Zoo was brought up and I told her thanks I will have to look into it. (Even though I already had and wasn't paying since I was already a member.) After our conversation ended I went about the rest of my gym routine and she did hers. Right before I was about to leave she found me and handed me an envelope and said it was nice to meet me and left. In the envelope were 4 tickets to Boo Zoo. How nice was that! I was so excited to tell Nate and the kids! (There really are super nice strangers out there!)
It turned out this was the only night we could go as a family so as soon as Nate walked in the door (7pm, it closes at 8) we ran out the door and enjoyed trick or treating at the Zoo for an hour.
Hank caught on really fast, he even said "Trick or Treat" for the first time ever. I guess that's how we get him to talk, give him candy!
