Worlds fastest 8k

7-13-13 The crazy 8 8k

I found out about this race 3 days before it happened and so I talked a few of my crazy friends into doing it with me. Its the worlds fastest 8k starting at 10:00 pm. Well with Nate out of town I got a baby sitter, my good friend Lori drove and we headed an hour and a half away to Kingsport Tennessee to participate in this race. This was my first 5 miler and I will have to say it was a lot of fun!

We met Keaton and The Pickups up there (thats where the Pickups moved). 

After the race, a little blurry, really sweaty, but still smiling

My goal was to be under 40 min. and I came in at 37:30 so I was happy with that. 

Maycee won 2nd place in her age division we were pretty impressed. I think the awards go over around 12:30 p.m. so we headed back home. It was quite a fun night!
