The Weather outside is frightful

I feel very fortunate to say that we survived this Kentucky storm with POWER! Unfortunately thousands were left with out. I cant imagine not having power this time of year. I just hope they get it soon!

On Monday night we had a snow storm later came with an ice storm. Any of you that have witnessed this would agree its pretty, but deadly. The reason for power outage is because the ice rested on the trees which become very heavy and break, landing on power lines and some times houses. The other night as Nate and I were going to bed it sounded like a war outside our window, hearing limbs break and crack all over. All I could do was pray that we would wake up with power. The best thing about this storm is that I have had Nate home for 3 days straight!! Yeah when school resumes I don't know what Cooper and I will do.

The trees took a beating

Ice covering the power lines

Ice skating anyone??

That looks like quite the storm. I'm glad you had power throughout it all. I have never seen ice do that on tree branches. It looks like you guys are having lots of fun out there! Stay warm!

You poor thing! Please accept my apologizes when you see our blog... the beach pictures might not be what you want to see right now... (My in-laws in MO went almost a week without power during the ice storm, crazy I know!)
