DAY FOUR: Yorktown, VA
Yorktown is the location where America defeated the British Army. With the aid of the French Army and more importantly the French Navy the Americans were able to bombard the British fort at Yorktown. It was cool to see the earth banks that were dug to protect the American and French Cannons and the American troops as they advanced on the British guns. The key to the American victory was the French blockade of the British ship carrying British troops and supplies. One of the really cool thing we saw was an excellent demonstration of the cannon at the Yorktown Victory Center, learning so much more about the Revolutionary War.
