We left our home around 11:00 am. Just 2 hours after we planned and headed to D.C. (Coopers second long road trip). Google said it would take 9 1/2 hours and it took us a little under 11 (not too bad for stopping for gas once, lunch, and a few bathroom breaks). Cooper did great and the drive was beautiful through forests and forests of trees. Some where in West Virgina we were driving along the interstate and out of the corner or my eye there was a little black bear cub just chill'en on the side of the road, pretty crazy.

you know you are in Eastern Kentucky when you stop at a gas station to use the restrooms and they send you out back...... We ventured on to the next rest area.
