1 YEAR

One year ago today, we packed up our things and moved to an unfamiliar place. It was a very emotional time for me, I hated leaving Louisville, my friends, neighbors, Coopers close buddies who he had known since birth. The place where our family started, where our relationship grew.
As we pulled into this town I was far from excited infact I was sobbing uncontrollably as memories from my last 5 years filled my thoughts.  I wasn't happy and I wanted to leave immediately.
So why am I reliving this? Well as tough as my year started and as much as I didn't want to be here, and as much as I still miss my wonderful friends I am beginning to enjoy it here and wanted to list all the positive things about this place.
     Knoxville TN:
-The day we moved in, we not only had two guys from the ward help us move all our stuff, but we met the Bishop, relief society president and primary president. A family from the ward brought us dinner and also invited us over for dinner that Sunday (which happened to be fathers day).
               - To say the least we have a wonderful ward, which I love and am so grateful to have met a so many great people.
                - I have made some wonderful lifelong friends
                - We love our home
                - Love our neighborhood pool
                - the Smoky mountains are beautiful! We have enjoyed camping, hiking and tubing in the Smokies
-Cooper had such a great preschool group this past year with some dear friends of mine and their kids.
                - We as a family are getting used to Nates schedule and the great thing is its only getting better.
                - I love working with the Young women in our ward and the other leaders.
                -  like Louisville I love all the trees, and green grass all summer long
                 - We are only 3 hours from Nashville, Atlanta and 6 hours from the coast
                  - There are so many things to explore around here that I haven't even hit the surface yet
                  - We love finding new parks or bike trails for the boys to ride their bikes
                   - love hiking at House mountain which is only 10 min. from our house
-there are so many biking and running trails through out the city
                    - We love going to Dolly wood
                    - walking around Gatlinberg

We are continuing to explore Knoxville and surrounding area, and are really liking it here. Here is to 3 more years of this beautiful place.

We love your neighborhood pool, too.

I'm glad you moved here. It feels like you've been here forever, not just a little year. Congrats on your First K-Ville Anniversary Sarah!

We need to celebrate...

Yeah! So glad we made it through the first year of residency and that we made it through a year not seeing each other or our kids seeing each other! Cheers to that!
